Basic Training with Updating BT-PSSR
The Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) prepares students for careers as licensed deck officers aboard merchant vessels.
Duration: 11 Days
Schedule: Monday–Saturday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Training Fee: Php 7,700.00
Basic Training (BT) is mandatory under Regulation VI Annex II Part A and B of the STCW Convention.
This training equips seafarers with essential competencies necessary to work safely onboard ships, respond to emergencies, and fulfill shipboard responsibilities responsibly.

Personal Survival Techniques (BT-PST)
Training on survival at sea during ship abandonment and emergency situations.
Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (BT-FPFF)
Training on fire prevention, fire response, and onboard firefighting procedures.
Elementary First Aid (BT-EFA)
Training on basic medical response, f irst aid, and life-support measures onboard ships.
Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (BT-PSSR)
Training on accident prevention, marine pollution prevention, and professional responsibilities onboard ships.

Security Awareness Training – Seafarers
with Designated Security Duties (SAT-SDSD
The Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) prepares students for careers as licensed deck officers aboard merchant vessels.

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Training Fee: Php 2,500.00
This mandatory STCW training equips seafarers with the
knowledge and competencies necessary to:
- Recognize security threats
- Perform designated security duties onboard • Perform designated security duties onboard
- Support shipboard security procedures and emergency response measures
Updating BT-PSSR
Duration: 1 Day
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Training Fee: Php 1,800.00
This course is required under MARINA Advisory 2025-40 forseafarers who completed Basic training prior to the revised BT-PSSR standards.
The updated program strengthens competencies related to:
- Shipboard safety responsibilities
- Professional conduct at sea
- Harassment and bullying awareness and prevention
- Safe and respectful workplace practices onboard ships
