Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT)

Accreditation:
PACUCOA Level II – Re-Accredited Status

The Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) prepares students for careers as licensed deck officers aboard merchant vessels.

The program develops competencies in:

  • Navigation and ship handling
  • Cargo operations and stowage

  • Maritime laws and regulations

Students are prepared for Officer of the Watch (OOW) licensure and future leadership roles in the maritime industry.

The Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE) prepares students for careers as engine officers responsible for ship propulsion systems, machinery operations, and technical maintenance onboard vessels.

The program develops competencies in:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

  • Senior High School graduate or equivalent
  • Form 138 / Report Card
    (Average grades in Math, English, and Science should not be lower than 85%)
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • PSA Birth Certificate
  • Passed physical examination and required
  • Passed physical examination and required
    medical tests for seafarers (In compliance with STCW and DOH requirements)
