Bachelor of Arts in Communication
GOALS
This program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills in the theory and practice of communication applicable in various professions and contexts, with focus on the media professions.
SPECIFIC CAREERS/OCCUPATION OF GRADUATES
Public and corporate communication/information officers, social science and communication researchers/analysts, communication/media planners and managers, program/project development officers, public relations and advertising practitioners, media practitioners, learning system designers, multi- media designers and allied/ related professions.
GOALS
This program provides a comprehensive knowledge of the English language- its origin, growth and development, structures and use. I t enhances the students’ competencies in the use of the English language in the real - world contexts. It also presents appropriate strategies of language use through a heightened awareness of how English works in different situations in the Philippines and in Asia and the rest of the world.
SPECIFIC CAREERS/OCCUPATION OF GRADUATES
Academic and scholarly such as teaching and research, business and industry jobs such as public relations, advertising and documentation, and media and publishing such as writing, translating and editing and government and diplomatic service.
Bachelor of Arts in English language
Bachelor of Science in Psychology
GOALS
This program produces graduates with solid basic knowledge and skills in psychology which is the scientific study of human behaviour and mental processes with additional preparation in natural sciences.
SPECIFIC CAREERS/OCCUPATION OF GRADUATES
Licensed psychometricians or work in the academe, HR, researcher. May pursue specializations in psychology such as clinical, counselling, developmental, educational, social, industrial/organizational and others.
GOALS
This program prepares students to their unique role in gathering, organizing, and coordinating access to the best information sources for the knowledge-based organization they belong as well as in implementing standards for the ethical and appropriate use of information.
SPECIFIC CAREERS/OCCUPATION OF GRADUATES
Qualify for but not limited to the following entry level positions: bibliographer, copy cataloguer, documentation officer, library applications developer, library assistant, preservation/ conservation officer, records assistant. Once acquired the necessary licensed can be an academic librarian, teacher librarian, corporate librarian, systems librarian and many more as librarian.
