ESLPMD is a two and a half (2.5) year special program addressing the competences required for Ratings Forming Part of a Navigational Watch (RFPNW) and Ratings as Able Seafarer Deck (ABD) as defined in the STCW Convention, Regulations and Codes.

ONE-YEAR SEAFARER NC II

This program is designed to equip individual with operational skills, knowledge and attitudes of Able Seafarer Deck in accordance with industry standards which enable him to perform watch-keeping to look for obstruction in path of vessel, turn wheel on bridge, perform mooring and un-mooring operations as directed by the Officer of the Watch, provide support in cargo operations, operate deck equipment and machinery, perform marlinespike and canvass work and perform deck maintenance

AUTOMOTIVE SERVICING NC II

The AUTOMOTIVE SERVICING NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to inspect, clean and repair mechanical or electrical parts, components, assemblies and sub-assemblies of light and heavy-duty automotive vehicle with diesel or gas engine in accordance with manufacturer's specification. It also covers engine tune up for both diesel and gasoline; servicing of engine mechanical components such as cooling and lubricating system; performing power train and under-chassis servicing.

PC PROGRAMMING NC IV

The program is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of a trainee/student on core competencies such as; Design Program Logic, Apply Program Development Approach, Apply Object-Oriented Program Language Skills and Apply Programming Skills in a Second Language in accordance with the industry standards. It includes common competencies such as; Apply Quality Standards and Operate a Personal Computer. It also includes basic competencies such as; Utilize specialized communication skills, Develop teams and individuals, Apply problem solving techniques in the workplace, Collect, analyze and organize information, Plan and organize work and Promote environmental protection.

HEALTH CARE SERVICES NC II

The program consists of competencies that a person must achieve to prepare and maintain beds, collect and maintain linen stocks at end-user locations, assist with patient mobility, assist in transporting patients, assist with bio-psycho-social support care of patients and handle waste in a health care environment.

HOUSEKEEPING NC II

The HOUSEKEEPING NC II program consists of competencies that a person must achieve to prepare guest rooms, clean premises and equipment, laundry linen and guest clothes, provide housekeeping services and provide valet services to hotels, motels, clubs, hospitals, resorts, dormitories and luxury liners.

COMMERCIAL COOKING, NC II

The program consists of competencies that a person must achieve to clean kitchen areas, prepare hot, cold meals and desserts for guests in various food and beverage service facilities

SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING NC II

This program is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills to perform shielded metal arc welding work to the standard expected in the workplace. The course covers, competencies such as; utilize specialized communications, develop team and individual needs, apply problem solving techniques in the workplace, perform workplace safety and housekeeping, interpret blueprint, set up work area equipment and accessories, prepare weld joints, deposit weld beads, prepare materials and tools, and weld carbon steel pipes and plates in all position for fillet and groove welds.
