PhD in Management is the highest academic degree awarded in the study of management service.The degree is designed for those seeking academic research and teachings careers as faculty professors or managers in their organization. The coursework for the PhD in Management includes a rigorous set of intellectually stimulating and challenging scholarly methods, foundation and advanced courses and seminars.In addition, the program requires successful passage of a comprehensive examination and successful completion of the doctoral dissertation.
The PhDM requires graduate students to take 18 units of core subjects, 24 units of major courses, 6 units of cognates and 12 units for dissertation writing. A total of 60 units are required before a graduate student is allowed to take a comprehensive examination. It is only when one passes the comprehensive examination will a student be allowed to proceed to dissertation writing. A variety of learning experiences are incorporated into the curriculum, including the development of conceptual frameworks and theories, quantitative case and empirical studies, field projects, and in -depth research. Requirement for completion of a PhD degree is undertaking a research in dissertation which should be presented in proposal / final oral defense.Dissertation should be able to present significant contribution to their field of specialization.
