SJIT, College of Criminology is the pioneer of Criminology Education in Caraga Region and the leading provider and molder of law enforcement practitioner in the region. The College of Criminology has a complete state of the arts facilities and equipment. The college was granted a preliminary accreditation in August 2006, granted level 1 status in October 2009 and in February 2014 was granted of level 2 accreditation status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities-Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) making the BS Criminology program of SJIT the first and the only Level 2 accredited Criminology Program in Caraga Region. The College was awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the Professional Regulation Commission for having produced topnotches in the National Licensure Examination for Criminologists in 2004 and Top performing Criminology Schools in the Philippines, 4th place in 2004 and 2nd place in 2006. The College is consistent of obtaining above and beyond passing percentage from the national passing percentage in the Criminologist Licensure Examination. Our competent and dedicated faculty continuously strive to create a nurturing and stimulating environment ripe with intellectual interchange, scholarly research, and industry collaborations to provide our students a strong foundation on criminal justice both in theory and in application. The Bachelor of Science in Criminology or Criminal Justice is a a 4-year college degree program intended for individuals who wish to have a career in the fields of law enforcement, security administration, crime detection and prevention or correctional administration. The BS in Criminology program aims to foster the values of leadership, integrity, accountability and responsibility while serving fellowmen, community and the country.
