The program introduces students to the interlinked entertainment, strategic communication, and journalism aspects of mass media, and to the broad theoretical, historical, and critical perspectives that mass communication scholars use to understand and analyze these media processes.
The curriculum for Bachelor of Arts develops students with a degree of competence in their chosen field of specialization necessary to meet the demands of the global market. It further develops students to become competent and proficient in English both in written and oral communication. The Curriculum of Elementary and Secondary Education is compliant to CMO 30 s. 2004.

Most graduate students taking PhD come from government agencies. Scholarship grants are provided by the Local Government Units (LGU) as well as from National Government such as the Department of Education (DepEd).
